This is not an exhaustive list of everything that Jake has been given since diagnosis, but it serves as a reminder when we don't remember what something does, and gives some idea of how much goes into his body in various ways:
Medicine (Method) : Reason
Glivec (Oral) : Locks with leukemia cells at a molecular level to neutralise them.
Methotrexate (Intravenous) : Attacks the cancer cells in the bone marrow.
Thiotepa (Intravenous) : Separates bone marrow so it can be flushed from the body.
Cyclophosphamide (Intravenous) : Conditioning (destroys white blood cells).

Nystatin /Nilstat (Oral) : Prevents / reduces the risk of fungal infection of mouth/gut.
Chlorohexadine (Oral) : Mouthwash - general dental care.
Acyclovir (Oral) : Prevents / reduces the risk of herpes infection.
Heparin (Intravenous) : Prevents / reduces the risk of veno-occlusive disease of the liver.
Amphotericin (Nasal spray) : Prevents / reduces the risk of fungal infection of nasal passages and lungs.
Bactrim (Oral) : Prevents / reduces the risk of PCP infection.
Fluconazole (Oral) : Prevents / reduces the risk of fungal infection.
ATG (Intravenous) : Increases immune suppression and prevents/reduces the risk of graft rejection.
Cyclosporin (Intravenous / oral) : Prevents / reduces the risk of graft vs. host disease.
Timantin (Intravenous) : Antibiotic.
Gentamycin (Intravenous) : Antibiotic.
Ganciclovar (Intravenous) : Antibiotic - aimed at HHV6 which is in the herpes family.

Propantheline (Intravenous) : Helps to reduce the amount of sweat produced by the body.
Ondansetron (Oral) : Anti nausea.
Methylprednisolone (Oral) : Reduces reaction to other drugs.
Paracetamol (Oral) : Reduces fever and pain.
Phenergan (Oral) : Anti allergen.
G-CSF (Subcutaneous) : Stimulates the growth of the bone marrow / cord blood.
Dexamethazone (Oral) : Steroid
Dubotamine (Intravenous) : Helps blood pressure stabilise and rise.
