Monday
We came in at 8am so that they could take bloods. I got a pager this time so that Jake could stay in the room a bit longer, instead of waiting in the main room with the other kids. We saw the doctor. Everything is going well, and Jake is starting to produce his own red blood cells so it is expected that he will not need to get any more red blood transfusions. The only concern is that his blood pressure is going up a bit so she has placed him on medication to bring it down. The tablets are tiny and I have to cut them in half!
Friday
We came to see the doctor. Unfortunately his cultures are still positive for HHV6 which means we continue coming in everyday. Well, except for sunday :)
His blood pressure is starting to rise again so he is now on a full tiny tablet.
